Desktop made in the Soviet Union. This is an old Soviet statue made in the USSR. The figurine shows a blacksmith holding a hammer and forging a piece of metal. Under the anvil is a shield with a coat of arms belonging to the city of Tula, Russia. The city of Tula was traditionally a center of metalworking and crafts. During the turmoil of the early 20th century in Russia, Tula was a very important source of armaments and military equipment for the army. The text on the desktop reads:”The importance of Tula to the Republic is big” with Lenin’s signature behind it. The 3 shells and blacksmith are made of aluminum and stands on a plastic base. The original sticker is still on the bottom.
