Flag made in Hungary. What a beautiful flag made of 3 layers of fabric, you can feel the quality. The outer layer is presumably cotton silk with a floral pattern and a thick intermediate layer on the inside. Flag is richly decorated with luxurious embroidery and fringes along the sides. On 1 side a blue circle with branches of honor and the Soviet and Hungarian flag. The text reads:”Communist Youth Association. Foundation Organization of Red Star TSZ.” The other side has the Communist coat of arms with a white dove with an olive branch underneath. The text on this side reads:”Loyalty to the people, loyalty to the party”. Beautiful decorations on the left and right. In great condition, both sides are beautifully decorated.

Flag made in Hungary Young Pioneer Movement. Original flag, flagstick Point, flagstick and 36 shields The Hungarian Communist Youth League, KISZ in Hungarian, was a communist youth movement in the Hungarian People’s Republic affiliated with the ruling Socialist Workers’ Party. It was founded on March 21, 1957 on the anniversary of the 1919 declaration of the Hungarian Soviet Republic after the outbreak of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. It claimed to represent all the country’s youth and sought to educate youth politically and oversee both political and some social activities for them. KISZ was the main source of new members for the party. The organizational framework paralleled that of the Hungarian Socialist Workers’ Party. The flag belonged to the Hungarian pioneers who greeted each other with ‘Előre!’ (forward). Pioneers visited each other to exchange ideas, to play sports and to talk, it was a very socialist time. During such a visit, they took their flag with them for parades and processions and received a shield from the visited association that was placed on the flagpole. After a visit, the flag was hung up again in the association building. It is impossible to find a complete set. After the departure of the Russians, much was destroyed or taken apart. The flag has a beautiful depiction of 2 stylistic heads of young people and is reminiscent of the image of Worker and Kolkhoz Woman in Moscow. Everything is heavily embroidered and the flag appears to be silk and is sewn together from different colors of fabric, nothing is printed. Flag has 2 sides with a thick intermediate layer which gives it a luxurious feel. Flag point is made of gold lacquered aluminum. Stick is made of wood with brass, copper or bronze shields, a total of 36 pieces that are also very sought after in Eastern Europe. This is a one off so unique item, there is no 2nd of it. Of course the flag has stains, wear spots, etc. but certainly for its age and that it was always taken on trips to other cities, provinces or countries in very good condition.

Flag made in Hungary, 1958, from the Young Pioneer Movement. Flag is completely sewn together from 3 layers of fabric and is heavily embroidered and already 64 years old. Has some water stains and 1 small hole. See pictures. On the front of the flag the text reads:”For the working people, for the country, forward!”.
MSZMP Hungarian Socialist labor Party Committee flag. Flag in near mint condition. Along 2 edges there are bronze rings to hang it on.. Everything is heavily embroidered.
