Handmade Copper wallpiece (of the Communist Youth Association Hungary. Flag of copper from the association building Elöre from the early 80’s, when Hungarian pioneers greeted each other with “Előre!” (Forward). At that time, the communist regime seemed to remain in power forever.
Beautiful old Hungarian shield from the communist party. Made for the party conference in 1948. The shield is placed on a wooden base plate in the form of a star. Heavy metal plaque with 3 men shaking hands, 1 with a sickle, the other with a hammer and the third with a document. It suggest the worker, the farmer and the intellectual. The plaque is signed on the bottom right.

Plaque Hungarian People’s Army. Heavy bronze shield with star and the new socialist coat of arms that was in use from late 1957 to 1990. This weapon was called the Kadar emblem. Janos Kadar was the communist leader of Hungary who ruled over Hungary from 1956 untill his retirement in 1988. He ruled for 32 years and died in 1989.Shield was donated in 1978. The text on the shield reads:”Százhalombatta”. Could be the name of a person or the district in Hungary.

This metal red star is retrieved from a building from Hungary. At least 25 years old. These kind of red stars was haning above an entrance of a building. Could be a factory building or a government building.
It is in good shape and feels solid. This is just a great piece and tells you about a lost era.
